New York State Open Data

Dataset: “Lottery Powerball Winning Numbers: Beginning 2010”, published by the New York State Gaming Commission. Open NY’s terms permit reuse, including private-sector projects. The import uses the published Socrata JSON endpoint.

DrawLedger also imports the New York State Gaming Commission datasets for Mega Millions and Millionaire for Life. Millionaire for Life history begins with the first draw on February 22, 2026.

The official results page may be viewed by an editor to resolve discrepancies. Its terms do not grant commercial copying or automated republication, so this project does not scrape it or store its page content.

What the audit trail contains

Original response

Raw JSON, response headers, source URL, HTTP status and retrieval timestamp.

Fingerprint

A SHA-256 hash identifies the exact response used for an import and prevents duplicate snapshots.

Conflict record

A changed value creates a conflict record. The published draw is not silently overwritten.

New York State notes that certified records held by its Drawing Unit prevail if the open-data page differs. For a possible winning ticket, confirm with the selling jurisdiction.

The same public feeds used by the operator's draw-history pages.

Lotto

The official 180-day CSV is imported from draw-game ID 6 so both Round 1 and Round 2 are retained. The latest-result XML is the fallback.

The official 180-day CSV is imported from draw-game ID 4, keeping the five main balls separate from the Thunderball. The latest-result XML is the fallback.

The official 180-day CSV is imported from draw-game ID 3, keeping the five main balls separate from the Life Ball. The latest-result XML is the fallback.

Every response is stored with its retrieval time, source URL, HTTP status and SHA-256 fingerprint before transformation. The downloadable history covers the previous 180 days; DrawLedger reports that scope rather than claiming a complete lifetime archive.

US source coverage

Reusable public records for three US lotteries

Powerball, Mega Millions and Millionaire for Life records use New York State Open Data endpoints published by the New York State Gaming Commission. Official lottery pages provide additional manual or fallback evidence where the importer supports it.

The importer retains source identity, response evidence, retrieval time and a fingerprint. If a later response disagrees with a stored record, DrawLedger creates a review state rather than presenting the change as automatically verified.

The certified record and ticket rules of the selling state or jurisdiction always prevail, including claim deadlines, purchased multipliers, tax treatment and pari-mutuel exceptions.
